Well this post is about a month late and I don't have as much to update on considering I've had three months to read books and a lot of sick days in there to lay in bed and read. And I actually have done a fair amount of reading, but all of the books I'm reading are 500+ page books.
September/October/November Reads
Twenty Years After - Alexandre DumasSo I love Alexandre Dumas, I think I've made no secret of that. After reading the Three Musketeers I discovered that it is one in a series called the D'Artangan Romances. So I embarked on the task of reading all of them. Funny story…. all of the others in this series are MUCH longer than the original book. There's also a reason that people commonly read the Three Musketeers and what is the last book in this series The Man in the Iron mask, but not that many people have heard of the four in the middle. With that said I enjoyed this book for the most part. There were times where it seemed to drag, but in true Dumas style the characters are rich and every detail matters. It was really cool to see how the events from the Three Musketeers entertained and continued to effect these characters twenty years later.
Wanted - Sara ShepardIt took me a long time to finally read this book. I've owned it as long as I've owned the rest, but I just sort of gave up on this series when I gave up on the show. It was entertaining just like the rest of them, but nothing special. I'm glad I finally finished the existing series, but I doubt that I will read the now additional four slated to continue this series.
