This past weekend I went to a pumpkin patch with my family. We took my two nieces on a hay ride and then to pick out a pumpkin. The hay ride was ridiculously long, but Caroline seemed to enjoy it. Caitlin slept through everything, but that's pretty much par for the course with a three week old. And we joked about how the pumpkin patch was more like a field of orange M&Ms... because all of the pumpkins were so tiny. I guess that's what you get when you have such a dry summer. It was still a lot of fun.

Oh and my straight hair is so weird to me. And it's weird how it looks SO red when it's straight. I guess the curls sort of mask the intensity of the red in my hair, but then when I straighten it looks incredibly red. I was kind of surprised. Near the end of senior year of college I wore my hair straight a lot and before that I would straighten it so I could curl it with a curling iron. It always took so much time! It really wasn't until recently that I started wearing it in its naturally curly state. Mostly out of laziness at first, but I like it that way now, especially since it's getting so long.
